My Own Man.

Perhaps a controversial post regarding the last US election.  We have all and are all getting a little tired of it.  It seems that so many armchair political analysts are coming out of the woodwork to give an opinion.  To be clear, I am not a political ‘expert’ nor do I aspire to be one.

Let’s be clear.  I don’t know Donald Trump.  I have never met him, I really don’t wish to meet him, nor do I wish to have a beer with him.  I don’t nor do I enjoy his twitter feed or his persistent outburst which are crude, and classless.  That being said, I do not subscribe to the constant media bashing, Hollywood ‘holier than though’ approach of left of centre millionaire social justice warriors crying at full blown crazy level.  My question for all out there remains this.  Like most people, I  thought Trumps’ candidature was a reflection of the state of politics in the US, but then came the Wikileaks dumps.  My opinion on who was worse changed.  Who is worse, Donald Trump, the sociopath and most probable ‘character’ that he plays on TV, or George Soros, the billionaire communist funding the Hillary Clinton/Obama machine?

All this talk about Russia, takes our eyes off the ball.   Whether or not Russia interfered in US elections does not change the fact that the content was clear.  As a Catholic, there was overwhelming evidence with regard to an infiltration orchestrated by the Clinton camp to subvert the Catholic Church at Her highest levels, initiate a Catholic ‘spring’ and finally topple Her, leaving a socialist/communist machine in its wake.  That is not to say that I’m a conspiracy theorist/’truther’ who denies 911, I am though a person who like any other human being is naturally curious and hard wired for Truth.

The whole fake news issue has been around since the beginning of time.  We as human beings, through technology have gotten better at it.  Mafia leaders, politicians to philanthropists and special interest groups have constantly tipped the ‘media’ and balance of power in order to ensure that their preferred candidate or option comes out looking good.  Sooo,.. As much as Trump and the mainstream media are screaming Trump’s links to Russia, what about alternative right media’s discovery of an elite pedophile ring with ties to heavy duty politicians advancing a globalist agenda?  We can’t deny this, and the fact that social media is discovery this, the people who run the social media sites are also trying to curtail these stories.  Think about it this way,.. Milo Yiannopoulis had to resign from Breitbart because of controversial comments regarding pedophilia.  I agree 100% with firing him or forcing him to resign.  What he said was utterly disgusting and should be punished.  My question is why did not the same mainstream media come down on George Takai, who basically advanced the same opinion?  Couldn’t be that Milo who is nationalist must be punished while Takai, who is globalist gets a free pass?  This should make us all think…

The world is changing and gone is the traditional ‘right’ vs ‘left’ dichotomy, leaving in its wake, Nationalism vs Globalism.  The example of Britain’s exit from the European Union comes to mind (Brexit.)  Perhaps all is not what it seems to be and perhaps we have been granted a time of Grace? Who knows?

What am I saying?  To paraphrase the song from the California Raisins,. ‘Heard it through the grapevine,.. ‘believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see!’ – I’ve always been an independent thinker, neither ‘right’ nor ‘left’ but instead celebrating my independent ‘thinking’ self.  I don’t know all the answers, but I will never be a sheep to ideology one way or another!  I watch CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX, CBC, CTV, and Global.  Still I will supplement my information by watching online sources such as Rebel Media, Lifesite News, Mark Dice, Alex Jones Infowars, Church Militant TV, Next News Network  Joe Rogan podcast, and Steven Crowder.  After gathering all my ‘sources’ I will form an intelligent ‘opinion’ taking into account the sourced material being referenced.  I still will never call it Truth, simply because I will never know all the facts essentially because I am still receiving them 3rd party.  In this light,.. Pontius Pilate’s quote to Jesus comes to mind,.. ‘Quid est veritas?’

I won’t post links, but instead invite all those who can critically ‘think’ to do just that.  If you find yourself on the ‘left,’ you find out that although the Christian refusing to bake a cake for a gay couple is a contrived media plot, considering that Steven Crowder proved that it is much harder to get a Muslim baker to bake such a cake!  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgWIhYAtan4)  If your on the right, you may find out that Iraq had no weapons of ‘mass destruction.’ (I believe history has already proved this point,..).  What is the desired result is that you develop an independent thinking brain.  Devoid of all influence and instead is to be informed(So that you may form) by all these news stories, sites and opinions!  (Yes I posted one link, because well,.. its funny! :P )

God bless!

Pope Fiction and Media Nuttiness,...

     So it would seem that the media will soon be lighting up the message boards with a ‘This just in,..’ or better still, a ‘Breaking News!’  The story is that after a month of gushing from the social justice crowd, That Pope Francis in his Wednesday audience promoted the traditional roles of women as mothers and grandmothers.  The feminazis must be beet red with anger, their pantsuits crinkling with sweat from their furor.  (here)  Obviously in trying to separate Francis from Benedict, the media has all but covered every move the Pope has made, from the foot washing of the juvenile muslim girl yet covered up his positions on abortion, same sex unions, Satan, Confession(that’s biggie!) Eucharistic Adoration and Marian devotion.  Now suddenly, while the Traditional Catholics say ‘duh.’. the Traditionalists complain about his inexperience with the Extraordinary Form of Mass!  Pope Francis will soon be angering both the Rad Tradies and the Extreme Left, the media Honeymoon will soon be over.

     First off Happy Easter!  Christ is Risen!  Indeed He is Risen!  I hope everyone had a Blessed and Holy Easter.  Myself, this was truly a special Easter as it was my first as a Seminarian and sitting in the Sanctuary of the Church was a little surreal and a very intimate and spiritual experience.

     I haven’t blogged since the Easter season, busy with prayer, the Triduum and frankly upset and still hurting over the complete lack of respect shown to the Holy Father by so-called ‘Traditionalist Catholics.   I will not comment upon Pope Francis in any negative way.  Sadly, the Traditionalist movement has not reacted with the same obedience.  ‘But Marco, The Pope needs to,..blah blah blah,..’  Sorry.  The Pope is chosen by the Holy Spirit through the College of Cardinals, (not by consulting certain blogs!)  I for one, am not going to tell God what I think!  Instead, when I don’t understand something, (When Pope Benedict wanted to open a discussion with priests regarding Catholics and the issue of divorce in 2005,..) I take it as an opportunity for prayer and growth in personal holiness/sanctification.

     We need to draw a distinction between a ‘Traditionalist’ as opposed to a ‘Traditional’ Catholic. A ‘Traditionalist’ to paraphrase a seminarian brother of mine, (Thanks Frank S) subscribes to an ideology. Any Catholic faithful to the Magisterium can rightfully be called a Traditional Catholic, although personally I tend to discourage the label and much prefer Catholic.  Catholic means that I accept the Teachings of the Catholic Church in Her fullness.  Truth cannot change, yet dogmas can and do evolve.  (We must remember that Aquinas at his time was nearly treated as a heretic for using Aristotle as his base.  The common school of thought was Plato and St Augustine.)

To all the modernist heretics;

     The Pope will not ordain women.  This issue was closed in 1994, despite all the calls for the contrary.  The Pope can wash the feet of all the muslim women in the world, this act was done as a pastoral jest, one of service, not of ordination!  The media should have also said that the Pope is open to ordaining muslim girls to the priesthood,… Yup its that ridiculous!

     To all the angry whacko tradies;

The Pope will not repeal ‘Summorum Pontificum.’  Why would he?  The communities which celebrate Mass in the Extraordinary Form are growing in number, and their age is significantly younger than the people who frequent the Ordinary Form of Mass.  Why would he alienate a large part of his flock?  A Pope doesn’t undo what his predessesor does, he builds upon it!  Obviously this Pope’s charism is not Liturgy, (Monsignor Marini’s face being priceless,..as so far he has remained Master of Ceremonies) so I doubt this will be his priority.

     To conclude, it will take some time for Pope Francis to learn how to be Pope.  Pope Benedict had his style, and Pope Francis will have his, in many ways the beauty of Catholicism!  To the modernist crowd, despite all your wishful thinking, no Truth will ever change, EVAAAAA!  To the RadTrads, if you don’t like something, sanctify yourself by praying and fasting!  Chill out and breathe!... In the end, its all about Jesus, not about our personal preference.

Relativism or Martyrdom? Up to You..

How is it that I keep finding myself writing mini editorials and reflections especially with regard to our current culture 'shift' that is steadily underway?  The secularist alliance with Islam and the political 'left' have whipped up a subjectivist mentality, and modern man drinks this stuff by the gallon.  We are to tolerate all,..except one thing,..Christianity.  I guess its fitting, because Jesus caused such political unrest...So why now?  Why this utter assault upon anything remotely Christian while everything else is off limits...Why?  Because Christianity, The Catholic Church is the one true Faith, and let's face it, the only obstacle to satan.

Within Salvation history, we know satan has been defeated in Eternity.  The Passion, Death and Ressurection of Jesus redeemed humanity from the clutches of death.  In time, however, satan wishes to take as many souls with him as he can.  His tools of choice?  'Political correctness,' So called 'Feminism' and the 'Social Justice' marxist movement.  Too many Catholics are asleep at the wheel and forget that our Faith calls us to witness to the Truth. Either that, or they have become incredibly secularized to the point that their 'Catholic' identification is more cultural and less of a true relationship with God.

How did we get to this point?  At one time or another, most of us who have experienced a conversion (ongoing) felt as if we had all the answers!,..Well right now it would seem,..we (or I anyway) are trying to find all the right questions instead.  God creates us in His image, we do not create God in ours.  Socio Political issues (their words..) such as abortion are wrong, not because they go against a discerned Catholic dogma, but because they go against the very Divine Law itself.  (5th Commandment,..'Though Shall Not Kill').   This issue seems to be a no-brainer for the greatest thinkers of our time,..yet we still have the pro-'choice' crowd.  An issue, seeking to murky the waters by aligning it to 'women's rights.'  What if in the name of 'women's rights' we decided that Blacks or Jews can be killed instead of babies?  We need to seriously ponder this reality.  If a society can kill babies, we are capable of any other evil.  As Catholics we cannot be complicit with evil.

Since birth we are conditioned to put 'man' first and God second.  So is it any wonder why we are now in the State we are in?  The 1960s saw the sexual revolution complete with its demonic agent of birth control.  'Humanae Vitae' was ignored, and behold a shrinking population so bad we won't be able to sustain our retirees in a few years.  I drank the Kool Aid of casual sex as did most of my generation, I am now trying by the grace of God to undo all these habits, and believe me, there are times when storms gather that I need a good jog at 3am,..while clutching my Rosary.  I have already accepted the idea that the next generation will live in a completely different world.  A world whereby the population is overwhelmingly muslim.  This is not a cryptic prediction, but an upcoming reality.  Have we become so desensitized to the point where even within the Ecumenical 'dialogues' that we have with other 'Christian' brethren, we have become afraid to tell them the truth?  My friends, ecumenism is set up to help bring our separated brethren home!  While yes, it must start with coffee and getting to know each other,..but we've had nearly 60 years of that,..we need to take action.  The Catholic Church is not one denomination among many, She is the Church of Christ which subsists in Her!  That is not me,..that is what Vatican II states!

The danger with any heresy is that it mixes itself up with 'good,' and both plays to our ego and what is conveniant.  The adherents of the so-called 'social jstice crowd fit this bill.  Authentic Catholic social justice has at its heart the dignity of man.  It must start in the womb.  We must be free to love and through our love imitate Jesus by feeding the hungry and clothing the naked.  However when it becomes the primary forced issue, it leaves out the salvific one.  We forget that we are a pilgrim people and that Heaven, communion with God is our true home.  Christianity is not conveniant.  Christ came to die so that man could be redeemed.  We must take up our Cross and follow Him, yes, even if it means to death.  I have included then Cardinal Ratzinger's homily from 2005,. (see here ).  The world is changing,..Islam will dominate, the population will shrink, economies are starting to collapse, abortion is on demand, being pro Traditional Marriage is seen as being 'intolerant.'  As Christians we are called to Love,..we must be tolerant of people, that doesn't mean we must tolerate their ideologies.

Why are most prochoicers environmentalists?...

Where to begin,..welllll,..Brock Lesnar is the new UFC Champion defeating Randy Couture this past Saturday....The Quebec Liberals are still ahead in the polls while the ADQ has pretty much tanked and finally the Habs won on Sunday over St Louis by shootout. On a side note, in my riding of Margerite Bourgeois, the PQ still hasn't put up any campaign posters, which confirms their financial woes.

Last week, I received an email from a friend of mine inviting me to check out RealCatholicTV.com. WOW! It was just the dose of orthodoxy our western pussyfooting world needs. One of the hosts, Michael Voris is absolutely amazing! The show is called the Vortex, and really this guy pulls no punches. I really encourage everyone to check it out, it will be worth your time. Upon checking through back episodes in the archives, I noticed a particular theme that he hammered on, one that I found myself strangely at odds with. The theme is Social Justice.

Now, hold on,..did you catch your breath? All you little hippie wannabes?..Okay, let me explain, from a Catholic point of view. I am very-much pro social justice. It is mandated in our Catechism as well as expanded upon at the Second Vatican Council. What I am against is Social Justice (look,..I even capitalized it for the hippies,..hehehe) tainted by marxist overtones. The Church especially in Quebec has been hijacked by people looking to push their own agenda within the Church. They usually disregard Theology and philosophy and instead push a very broad 'theistic' (huh, yeah barely!)humanist approach to bring about the Kingdom of God,..oops, I mean 'Reign of God.' (We don't want to offend women,..)They discuss or 'dialogue' as they say about every social issue which only they see as unfair. Let's look at some examples; pay equity, women's rights, equality among men,..oops 'people.' All these things are good. Noticably absent from their equity, are the rights of the unborn, protection of the family, and an authentic search for Theological truth. They talk about the environment, animal rights, and how to reform, while dialoging, the oppressive male dominated patriarchal system.

Now it is important to realize that everyone of these issues are important, it is just where they fit in the hierarchy of Truth. If I believe that Abortion is an intrinsic evil, am I against women's rights? If I believe that human beings are much more important in the economy of salvation, am I against nature or the environment? The answer of course is that I am for both. (I will address the issue of women's ordination in another post). Being for both, however must take into account their priorities with the scope of Truth. A majority vote on an issue does not make that issue true, it is an opinion and can be wrong. I am going to stop now, and wait for the flurry of hatemail to arrive in my hotmail account.
